To promote London in the interests of all its people, places and businesses as a global city and powerhouse of the economy.
London MPs and Peers have come together for the first time to provide a voice for London in Parliament. The group’s purpose is to promote the capital in the interests of all Londoners. Within this objective, the specific focus is to work on the policy areas as agreed at the 2016 AGM (see below). Meetings will be organised around these themes with invited speakers.
London Councils provides the secretariat to the group on behalf of London Government including the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. The group is listed on the APPG Register.
APPG meetings are open to representatives of organisations interested and affected by this issue. If you wish to attend, please allow enough time to get through security – for Committee Rooms the entrance is via Cromwell Green or at Portcullis House for meetings there.
